Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 May 2026
Welcome to Chordelia. By using app.chordelia.io or this site, you agree to these terms. Chordelia is a beta service operated from New Zealand.
1. The service
Chordelia is a web app that generates chord progressions using AI, plays them back, and lets you export and route them to a DAW. It's in active development and may change, break, or temporarily go offline.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old. You're responsible for activity on your account — keep it secure and don't share it. One account per person.
3. Beta and free access
Chordelia is currently free to use, with a fair-use cap of 100 generations per day per account. We may change limits, introduce paid plans, or end the free tier in the future. If we do, we'll give existing users reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use Chordelia's output to train machine-learning models without our written permission.
- Circumvent the rate limits or create multiple accounts to do so.
- Use the service for anything illegal or to harm others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your content and ownership
The chord progressions you generate are yours. You can use them however you want, including in commercially released music, with no attribution required.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process your saved progressions so we can show them back to you in your account.
6. Our content
The Chordelia name, logo, website, app interface, and underlying code are ours. You may not copy or republish them without permission.
7. Disclaimers
Chordelia is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output will fit your needs. You use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, during beta, is zero.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (email hello@chordelia.io). We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we believe pose a risk to the service or other users.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of New Zealand, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country.
